AICE!^® LabScanner Feature

The AICE Basic Download LabScanner™ feature automates the transfer of all positive culture results into a separate AICE database. When you are entering hospital-acquired infections into your main AICE database, LabScanner automatically “looks up” all the positive cultures for any given patient. With the click of a button, transfer the appropriate culture results and create the necessary infection and pathogen records. LabScanner even transfers the antibiotic susceptibilities automatically!

Finally, you can set up AICE batch reports to run every day to look for significant and multi-drug resistant organisms, clusters of the same organism, and “probable nosocomials” - that is, positive cultures collected > 48 hours after admission.

With all these features, the LabScanner module can save you up to 20 hours each month, so you can spend time preventing infections, rather than searching for them.
